Senior Product Analyst, Frimley GU16, £35k to £40k pa DOE + benefits + free parking

My client is a leading manufacturer of heavy materials handling equipment. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Analyst who will monitor market development and undertake market research on the materials handling industry, in order to provide tailored information to the Solutions team. This in turn will enable the team to create recommendations for product development and positioning strategies.   

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Undertaking detailed customer research through an internal and external network, using this information to recommend new product and service concepts to the Product Managers and Product and Industry Solutions team.
  • Investigating key industry, customer and technology trends and reporting on their implications 
  • Providing regular updates to the Solutions team on product share and profit performance.
  • Assessing competitive position of products v competitors and in conjunction with Product Managers propose plans to address gaps that are identified.
  • Supporting the project management of product development and launches, preparing documentation such as project schedules, problem logs and business cases for the review/stage gate process. 
  • Supporting competitive and field-testing activities and coordinating product prototype reviews.

Experience/Education/Skills/Aptitude requirements:

  • A Degree in a business, analytical or Marketing-related discipline.
  • Effective IT and data analysis skills, with particular proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Product knowledge of materials handling or capital goods equipment, and an understanding of customer requirements within the industry would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, knowledge of another European language would be desirable. 
  • Effective analytical skills to interpret multiple sources of information. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders in the pursuit of results.

  • This role is paying a salary of between £35k and £40k depending on experience.
